菊海神遊 Swimming with Ammonites

尺寸：菊石長35mm。

　　這是一件讓賣家以“Extremely rare” 來形容的繩菊石標本，雖然繩菊石不算很稀有的菊石屬，但是在英國蘇格蘭的著名菊石產地-Skye島來說，卻是非常罕見，在屈指可數的標本中又以這顆礦化最漂亮，有幸可以搶購到這件精品。這樣的礦化甚至可以說勝過當地很多最常的見的 Ludwigia 路德維希菊石，真是相當難得。整顆菊石很完整，潤澤的方解石礦化、殼口氣室隔壁、肋條上的疣凸、清晰的縫合線、腹側繩索狀的龍骨一應俱全，三角形的母岩底部裁平以便擺放。(Prepared byAndy Cowap)

賣家原始說明： A superb and very rare ammonite from the Middle Lias of Skye. The ammonite has been preserved in solid pale Yellow Calcite and prepared by Andy Cowap. There is little or no erosion at this particular fossil locality and so these ammonites are highly collectable. Approximately 190 million years old. One for the serious collector.
