產地：Beaminster, Dorset, UK
尺寸：Nautilus 51mm, Ammonite 47mm。
這件菊石與鸚鵡螺組合的標本，母岩上清出了一顆中侏羅世的時期新角石(較圓滾的那顆)和葛拉佛菊石，經過化石清修大師的巧手而呈現出溫潤的礦化，以及猶如「命運共同體」般的趣味！許多朋友或許不甚了解菊石和鸚鵡螺的差異，這件標本除了是很好的擺設藝品之外，也是不錯的教材喔！
賣家原始說明：Again another lovely combination of a Nautilus and Ammonite next to each other. This temporary exposure around 2003 revealed very few Nautiloids. The Ammonite is an important zonal fossil and is of good quality. This lovely and aesthetic combination will make a quality display fossil for either the home or office space. The matrix has a flat base. Approximately 175 million years old.

英國的鸚鵡螺好像比較稀少，價錢也比較高!?
物以稀為貴嘛。因為菊石相較於鸚鵡螺是優勢物種，同一個產地如果有產菊石和鸚鵡螺的，通常不論種類和數量都是鸚鵡螺化石較少。馬達加斯加的鸚鵡螺化石(波角石)算是比例較高的了。
